When will you be in my home to clean?

We are flexible so email us or give us a call to further discuss scheduling to meet your needs.

 

What supplies do I need?  Will you supply me with cleaning tools?

We ask our clients to provide a vacuum and garbage bags.  If you do not have a vacuum, we can suggest a few options.  For sanitary reasons, we also ask that you provide your own toilet bowl brush.

 

Do I have to be home when you clean?

No, it is not necessary to be home while we are cleaning.  We do require that you leave us permission to enter your home.  You have the options to give us a key that we keep on file at our office.  Of course you also have the option to be home if it makes you more comfortable.  If you are unable to be home we are able to make arrangements.

 

Some suggestions:

  • You may give us a key.

  • You can leave a key under a door mat the day of cleaning.

  • You can give us the garage code.

  • You can leave the door unlocked the day of cleaning.

 

How do I pay for my cleaning?

Payment for residential cleaning is due at the time of service.  Simply leave a check or cash for the amount due in an envelope on the kitchen counter.  Payment must be received for us to clean your home.  For commercial cleaning, we will send you an invoice.

How do you handle pets?

We are more than happy to clean around your pets.  If your pets get nervous around strangers, then we recommend that you keep them in an enclosed area until they become familiar with our staff.

 

Should I tip the cleaner?

If you are pleased with the cleaning, we encourage you to show your appreciation to your cleaner.  Although, not required, a gratuity is a wonderful way to say, “I appreciate the work you do.”

 

What is green cleaning?  And why hire a green cleaning service?

Green cleaning is an alternative to the traditional method used to clean your home or office with chemicals.  A style of cleaning that reduces the use of VOC’s in your home / office, with the environment in mind.  Volatile Organic Compounds are organic chemical compounds that have significant vapor pressures which effect the environment and human health.  A green cleaning service like Keen Eye Cleaning Service, LLC uses cleaning products that are free of harsh chemicals.  Our products are safe for you, your children, your pets, and the environment.  Other cleaning services that aren’t green expose your family to toxins.  These chemicals when rinsed down the drain leave a toxic residue in our water supplies and seep into our landfills. 

 

Will I have the same cleaning person?

Yes.  We know how important it is to have familiarity and consistency.  However, due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot always guarantee the same cleaning consultant.  We reserve the right to change cleaning consultants at any time.  Should we have to change your cleaning consultant, we will notify you via email or phone.

 

What preparation is necessary for the cleaning team to complete their task?

We ask that you remove any extraneous items such as books, toys, clothes, dishes, laundry, and etc before we arrive.  This will make our job much easier.

 

What is your privacy and security policy?

We guarantee full discretion and security.  We agree not to duplicate our customers keys.  Upon cancellation we return the keys within 5 business days.  We do not share or sell our customers information with third parties.  We only use the information you provide to contact you about our services.

 

Who are our workers?

Our workers are not private contractors; they are our employees with a minimum of 2 years experience in the cleaning industry.  All of our employees are either citizens or are legal residents of the United States.  They are English speaking, polite, dependable, as well as highly qualified and trained professionals.  In addition, for your safety and for our security we conduct a thorough background screening before they are hired.

 

Are you licensed, insured and bonded?

Yes.  For you protection and that of our staff, we are licensed, insured and bonded.

 

What is your satisfaction policy?

We proudly stand behind our work.  Should you have any comments regarding your cleaning, please call us within 24 hours after the end of your cleaning appointment.  If there are areas that you feel we have overlooked, we ask that you do not clean those areas yourself, as we will have someone report to your home within 24 hours to re-clean the areas of concern.  While we are unable to issue refunds, if necessary, we are happy to re-clean any areas of concern.

 

What if someone in our home is sick?  If you or anyone in your family gets a contagious illness, please be considerate of our workers and call to reschedule your cleaning after the illness is gone.

 

Do you give free estimates?

Yes, all of our quotes are free.  We can meet with you and decide what type of cleaning you need and establish a proper frequency for your business or residence.  Or click here for a free online quote.

 

What if I need to cancel or delay my cleaning visit? 

We understand that there are times when you might need to cancel or change your cleaning appointment.  We ask that you give us 48 hours cancellation notice.  Due to the high demand for our services, if you cancel less than 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, you will incur a $35 cancellation fee.  Any appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will be charged the full amount of the cleaning.  If a Keen Eye Cleaning Service consultant arrives at a scheduled cleaning appointment and is unable to gain access to your home you will be responsible for paying the full amount of the cleaning.

 

Will you do our laundry or dishes, is it an extra charge?

Sorry at this time we do not do laundry or dishes.
